Did you know there was a St. Corona?
Not much is known about St. Corona, most of it the stuff of legend. One this we do know, she has NEVER been known as the Saint against plagues and epidemics-this is a modern day legend. What we do know about St. Corona is that she was likely around 16 years old when she was martyred by being secured to two tied down palm trees and when their ties were untethered, St. Corona was quartered. Why? For professing belief in Jesus Christ. She is known to be the patron of lumberjacks and fortune hunters. Her feast day is May 14th.
